Happy GAAD 2026!
The Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is here again. Time to celebrate and share knowledge – but does society improve when it comes to equal participation in our increasingly digital society?
Our work spann over research, user testing, policy, training, studies, audits and much more. But across the broad variety of tasks, the end-user focus remains. At the core of our work is a simple principle: anything designed by humans, to be used by humans, must work for all humans. This means regardless of ability, age, language, or technology.
GAAD is a really nice world-wide effort to spread awareness on accessibility. This year we are spread thin at various events in different counrtries, and cannot carry out our favourite ”open house”-style event where end users show how they use assistive technology, as our contribution to GAAD. But what we can always do is share our knowledge:
