Digital skills
The European Disability Forum is carrying out research on Digital Skills, Accommodation and Technological Assistance for Employment (DATA), with funding from Google. The Funka Foundation is supporting the project by providing national expertise in Belgium, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands Portugal and Sweden.
The aim of the study is to investigate how skills and training, provision of assistive technology and reasonable accommodation influence the employment rate of people with disabilities. Surveys and interviews with various stakeholders across the EU will provide a basis for understanding how these policy areas interact and can be improved.
Based on the research, EDF will develop suggestions for solutions that will be shared with policy makers, employers and the disability community.
