IAAP Nordic

The Funka Foundation runs the Nordic chapter of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).

IAAP is a non-profit organisation that works to define, promote and improve the accessibility industry through networking, education and certification. At the global level, the organisation operates as part of the UN organisation G3ict.

IAAP’s Accessibility Professional Certifications are globally recognized and frequently used in both recruitment and procurement. IAAP membership is open to individuals as well as organisations, and include a wide variety of benefits, for example:

  • Networking opportunities, both virtual and in-person, provide the ability to share and learn from industry leaders around the world.
  • Professional Educational Development provide accessibility professionals and organisations an array of topical educational options. • Solutions-Based Resources support organisations with their inclusion journey. Through an array of offerings such as: G3ict suite of maturity models, a set of inclusion & accessibility vetted organisational criteria, a digital web career competencies framework, and professional education, IAAP provides a wealth of resources for members to draw upon.
