1. Introduction

At Stiftelsen Funka (the “Funka Foundation”, or the “Foundation”), we are committed to protect your privacy. Personal data that you share with us will be handled with care.

In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect from you and what we process. We recommend that you read this information carefully in order to know the purposes for which we use your data.

The Foundation is responsible for the use of personal information you share with us when you use this website, register for an event or subscribe to our newsletter. In our privacy policy we take all measures necessary to ensure the safety of the use of the personal data we collect. Your personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What type of information do we collect?

Depending on how you use the website, different types of information may be collected.

a) Personal information collected when you choose to provide it

Information you provide yourself may include:

  • content of forms filled out by you,
  • content of correspondence with us,
  • subscriptions or registration,
  • information from social media when you link to our website.

When you register for an event or subscribe to our newsletter, we will ask you to provide personal information. By signing up you agree that the Foundation collects and registers that personal information. We indicate clearly what information is needed.

The information we ask you may include your name, address, e-mail address, organisation, phone number, comments, nationality, etc.

b) Cookies:

We collect information about the language setting you use (English or Swedish) to view our website. This cookie counts as essential, and we do not use other cookies.

c) Anonymised information that may be collected automatically when you visit our website:

You can access most pages on our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information. Our web servers collect anonymous logs during user visits to our website which provide valuable information for improving it in the future.

We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites operated by us or other communication channels such as our newsletter. In this case, we will have informed you when we collected that data that it may be shared internally and combined with data collected on this website.

When we asked for your consent to processing your personal data, you can at any time decide to withdraw that consent. If you wish to subscribe to our mailing updates, we will use your name and email address to send them to you. You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or emails with information about future events and products and services we think may be of interest to you, by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails.

We will retain and use your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services to you and to comply with our legal obligations.
