Board of Directors
The Funka Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors composed of three members elected in accordance with its charter. The Board approves the strategy of the Foundation and makes decisions about how the Foundation directs its use of resources, including research funding and other grants.

Susanna Laurin, Funka Foundation Chair
Susanna has been a thought leader in the field of digitalisation, inclusion and e-government for more than 20 years, and she is a frequent international lecturer and debater.
Susanna is the Chair of the ETSI/CEN/CENELEC Joint Technical Body on eAccessibility, responsible for the development and update of the European accessibility standard EN301549, to reflect presumed conformance of the Web Accessibility Directive and the upcoming European Accessibility Act.
Susanna is a co-founder, Representative to the EU and also Past Honorary Chair of IAAP, the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, as well as the Representative to the EU for the UN-initiative G3ict. She is Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
Visually impaired herself, Susanna has a background in the Swedish National Organisation of the visually impaired as well as the Institute of Independent Living.

Sara Kjellstrand
Throughout Saras career she has worked nationally and internationally on accessibility, inclusion, diversity and broader sustainability issues, from a research and innovation perspective.
With a background as a researcher and writer, Sara has spent a lot of time investigating how we take in, process and communicate information. She has a keen interest in cognitive accessibility and how it benefits everyone.
Sara is Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).

Stefan Pelc
A wheelchair user with a strong commitment to equal rights and opportunities, Stefan has pushed the boundaries for better accessibility at the local football stadium, showcased how wheelchair users can experience Mount Everest and tirelessly battled over the right to personal assistance for persons with disabilities.
Stefan is Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). He has worked as a web author, accessibility expert and trainer for more than 20 years.
